Here are the Brooklyn Nets player grades following Monday's 120-107 loss to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.
The Nets were the better team for most of the night, but let one slip away in the fourth quarter against the Warriors.
Curry is the latest player to be diagnosed with sciatica. Warriors teammate Al Horford missed seven games in a row with right sciatic nerve irritation, and Lakers superstar LeBron James was held out of the first month of the season with the same injury.
The Nets’ winning ways were built off elite defense. Brooklyn, starting a super-sized lineup with four players standing over 6-foot-8, had held opponents to a league-best 103 points per game over the past month. Unlike in Toronto, where the Warriors gave up 70 points in the paint, Golden State outscored the Nets 56-30 in that zone.
